Language Policy
The course TSA(W)1 will be taught in English.

Payment:
Payment is to be made in full before an attendee number is generated. Once the number is generated, confirmation of the course inclusion will be sent to the email provided. The student number generated carries a 2-week validity period for training. The Service Academy will supply writing pads and writing tools for the student. The waiter course theory is from Monday to Friday 9-12. The practical training runs every Mon-Thu from 13:00 to 16:00. Theory will be tested, practical will be graded and combined to give the student an overall mark. The student will be required to learn The Service Academy menu for the practical training after the theory week.

Course Test Policy:
In the event of non-passing, 1 additional theory test is available to write. Passing theory week is compulsory in order to move onto the practical training.

Attendance:
Continual attendance is compulsory due to the short nature of the course. Any missed attendance is to be caught up at one’s own time, effort and cost.

Etiquette:
No phones on during lectures except for content snapshots. No eating and no drinking during lectures, no pc’s, tablets or laptops to be used during lectures. 10 points for each breach will be deducted from your final score if this is failed to be adhered to. You are expected to dress casually but neatly while training.

Change Policy:
The Service Academy reserve the right to change the content of the training either theoretical or practical at any time during the course.

Drop Policy:
All students signed in for a day must be at the course starting. Any student that drops the course at any time is not able to fill in the course at a later stage. It is the student’s responsibility to be punctual and be in attendance for all 5 days.

Honour Code:
The Service Academy does not condone any cheating on any testing during the course. Any person found to be cheating will be disqualified from the course without refund.

Religious Holidays:
Starting a course outside any religious observances is suggested as the course is short and runs for 2 weeks only. Catch up work is done in the attendee’s own time and course materials will be missed out on.

Public Holidays:
Any loss of course delivery due to a public holiday will result in the course content to be lectured the following Saturday, Sunday or next available day.

Professionalism:
Excessive socializing, interruptions and inappropriate dressing will result in points being deducted from your overall score. Arrival at the academy under any reading of alcohol will result in immediate disqualification without refund.

Refund Policy
Once we receive your refund request, we notify you of the process going forward. Only refunds communicated via email will be considered. Only refunds where the student has not started a course will be considered. Once a course has been attended, a course needs to be completed. No refund will be granted if the student begins a course and cannot complete the course. An arrangement for the student to finish the course at a later stage will be considered and advised accordingly.

Due to the nature of the process, the refund process will be considered ad hoc. We will notify you on the status of your refund after consideration which could take up to 10 working days.
Please note: A 10% handling fee plus banking fees will be amortised against the course refund payment if granted.
